We are seeking a skilled DC Power Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, analysing, and maintaining DC power systems for various applications. This role involves working on innovative projects that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our power systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Proficient in power system analysis software and simulation tools.
Strong understanding of DC circuit theory and power electronics.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Create and implement DC power system designs, including power distribution, conversion, and storage solutions.
Conduct simulations and tests to validate system performance and reliability under different conditions.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to DC power systems, including equipment failures and performance degradation.
Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, design reports, and test plans.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and technicians, to ensure project success.
Ensure all designs and systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in DC power technology, and apply best practices to improve system performance.
Experience with renewable energy systems, such as solar or wind.
Familiarity with energy storage technologies (e.g., batteries, capacitors).
Knowledge of power quality analysis and mitigation techniques.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python) for modelling and simulation.
Understanding of grid integration and microgrid concepts.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
